The Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association says that, effective Jan. 1, Greg Kirkpatrick will be its new president.
He succeeds Dennis Jungmeyer, who has been AADA president for the past 38 years.
Kirkpatrick held positions with Former Gov. Mike Huckabee's administration and more recently served as executive director of the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission for 11 years, according the trade organization's news release.
He also serves as an administrative hearing officer for several state boards and commissions and was president of the National Association of Motor Vehicle Boards and Commissions (NAMVBC) from 2011-14.
Kirkpatrick is listed as secretary of the NAMVBC on its website, which features a brief biography.
According to the biography, he's been a hearing officer for the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board and the State Board of Public Accountancy.
Other previous jobs listed include program director for the Transitional Employment Board and director of intergovernmental affairs under Huckabee.
Kirkpatrick earned his juris doctorate from the University of Little Rock's Bowen School of Law in 2007 and is licensed to practice in Arkansas, according to the NAMVBC website. He also has a master's of public administration, obtained from UALR in 2002.
The biography also states that Kirkpatrick is involved with the nonprofit Camp Aldersgate, is the Webelos den leader for the Cub Scouts in Troop 70 and works with the Economics Arkansas Trivia Challenge.
