Cellular Data Solutions of Bryant announced Monday that the cities of Little Rock, North Little Rock and Maumelle, along with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, have signed an agreement of understanding with CDS to accept its “police alarm notifications” to their internet-connected devices and smartphones.
The agreement pertains to the cities and county supporting the businesses that are using the company's Crime Cam solution. They are the first public safety departments in the country to do so, CDS said.
According to a news release, when a business using the Crime Cam is robbed, employees can press a wireless button to send notifications to patrol officers' laptops, tablets and smartphones. Police will receive GPS coordinates to the business, high-quality recorded video of the suspects and a link to remotely view in real time the robbery from any device that received a notification.
The company also said it's in the process of signing agreements with other public safety departments in Arkansas and with major metropolitan public safety agencies across the nation.
